Wonderful. I hope there's a label on it, because people will be admiring it for generations.

Oh well done it is lovely. It must be so great to finish. Think of all the time you have to play your whistle now :)

I am lucky that my Mum is into embroidery and has embroidered some lovely table cloths for me, the only problem is that I am afraid to put them on the table in case anyone puts a mug down on it and it would be ruined

Definitely not your Grandma's quilt. Beautiful.

ps. I like using a size up on bedding. We have a king size bed, I wish there was a size larger comforter. My wife is a blanket hog.

NICE quilt. I see starstuff breaking up and building new structures, perhaps the very the world we know (which is, in fact, the case).

Well done!

Of course it's beautiful, but your account reminds me of the other Weekender, who promised wedding and baby quilts to two of her sons. Took a loooooong time, and they came out beautiful but at what price.....yikes. I pray she doesn't agree to another.

Yeah, a quilt, even a small one, is not something that is done quickly. Fortunately or unfortunately, I have more of grandma's quilt squares, enough for several more quilts at least. But I'm not starting another anytime soon...

Beautiful, just beautiful. Cowtime, you have magic in your fingers!

I suppose everyone knows about The Quilts of Gees Bend?

And a great story: Everyday Use by Alice Walker.

This brings up a question: Why do they put quilts on barns?
