My band is playing at a reception in Houston for the Special Olympics, where Consulate General of Ireland Charles Sheehan will be in attendance. Any well wishes that we don't suck too bad would be appreciated :smile:

Good luck and best wishes for a spectacular performance from part of the Elvish community! :wink:

:grin:
Light spills into the hidden valley,
Illuminating the falls, paths, and
The breathtaking Elvish dwelling
Set back among great trees.
Lilting strains of Elven songs fill my heart;
I am finally home.

That's fabulous! Is break-a-leg kosher for musicians, or is that only theater folks? Have a good time and make wonderful music!

All the best. You'll blow them away. Hey, what exactly are the Special Olympics?

Tell us something.: I play the first flute Jon Cochran ever made but haven't been very active on the board the last 9-10 years. Life happens I guess...I owned a keyed M&E flute for a while and I kind of miss it.

It's like the regular olympics we see every four years (summer), only it's for handicapped people.

Thanks Michael. I should have known that. The friend who's currently putting me up (and putting up with me) while I search for a new house coaches handicapped swimmers.

All the best! Everybody will be so happy to be participating and all, that even IF YOU KNEW you screwed up --- and you won't, they will be to excited and very kind not to notice.

We played quite a few years ago here in Windsor, and we are a lot better now than we were then, for a local special olympic event and it went beautifully.

Play your heart out!
