Oh no, now there's two of 'em at the whisky! Must be the Scando-Germanic climate/temperament!

Yes, I saw it Henke (and you bust into a new page! ), but I don't think the mods are interested - 'twould be very daunting undertaking!

Henke, I tought about setting up a C&F instruments gallery a while back. I had a huge server with 300ish gigabytes of free space and a traffic flatrate, so hosting that thing would have been no problem. I don't have anything like this now, only 2GB left and a defined (and small) amount of traffic included, so I probably can't host it. If somebody has some spare web space available, I'm happy to set everything up and crop the photos from the thread...

Trent Hausman: Just thought I should let you know that when I clicked on the "My Music" link posted by you, to hear a sound sample of your pictured flutes, I got an instant virus warning, and my scan uncovered at least one infected file. given recent virus scares on this site, I thought I should give a heads up.

Just letting you know.

New Aebi R&R in cocus

Post by brotherwind »

Hi,
last weekend I collected my new Aebi 6key R&R (cocus, and BTW his new R&R-design) in Basel. I am happy to share some images. I am still breaking in the flute, it is simply gorgeous to play. Have to get accostumed to the weight of the fully lined head though. So enjoy the pics:

Very, very nice. We've only heard good things so far about the new Aebi Rudalls, I'm sure it's terrific. And Cocuswood seems to come back strong, more and more new flutes seems to be made of Cocus, which is lovely.

Cocus wood in flutes is like a great sherry cask matured
whisky :)

Thank you Brotherwind
the flute sounds great to my newbie ears; but oiling & maintenance is killing me (30º C & 30 % humidity and summer has just begun :boggle:) I'll search for topics about "wooden flute flutists in dry lands"

Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
