More like EspañaTrad, actually. The program is from Valencia, Spain, and the announcing is in Catalán.

That actually wasn't half bad. Tune is easily recognizable in any language. I just wonder why the lead singer was moving like that. Never did get to see his face, just the blur.

Yeah, he was pretty irritating. It was starting to look like a nervous tic of grand proportions.

Nine bandmembers to do "musica Celta"?? That's a lot of mouths to feed. Couldn't even tell if they were all playing. They mill around nice, though.

I know very little, if anything, about Texmex music...

Dublin, one night..Ry Cooder and his band..Flaco was there.

A good buddy of mine, who was , and probably still is, a fine box player looked at me and said..

Great recording!

As an American I grew up in a rural, and predominantly Eastern European neighborhood, where some really fine squeeze-box playing could occur, anytime.

Oh, there were fiddle, flute, and clarinet players, too, but man, I only wish that I had recorded what I've heard done on a squeeze-box!

BTW, it was a wonderful place to have been, and a wonderful neighborhood.

Whew! That's a relief. I speak Spanish with great fluency and was only catching about 70% of what that guy was saying...thought I was losing my marbles. :lol:

My favorite version of Ghost Riders in the Sky is by a weirdo texan cowpunk named Ned Sublett (no idea if it's a nom-de-punk or his real name), and comes with a mariachi horn-break that sounds so right that it ought to be mandatory, like the organ part in Whiter Shade of Pale, or the bass part in These Boots are made for Walking.
