I downloaded that Taylor Swift album. It's fairly rubbish.

But Love Story is a good single, so there's potential there for improvement as she gets older.

Eh, close enough. :D

Taylor Swift...can't say I enjoy her a whole lot. Like Izzarina the country-pop-chipmunky voice doesn't do much for me and honestly, I just don't relate to her songs. I think if I was 15 again I might like her but the high-school stuff just doesn't ring a bell with me in my old age...

I couldn't identify the last ten with any confidence. Here's ten very recent purchases.

Amos Milburn — The Complete Aladdin Recordings
Franke Harte — And Listen to My Song
Vegh Quartet — Complete Beethoven String Quartets (70s version.)
Various — The Art of Field Recording, vol.1
Horace Tapscott — Dial 'B' for Barbara
John Carter — Castles of Ghana
ICP Orchestra — Oh, My Dog
Talisker — Dreaming of Glenisla
Reid Anderson — Abolish Bad Architecture
John Rae — Beware the Feet
Tony Oxley — The Baptised Traveller
Gangbe Brass Band — Whendo

Oops, that's 12.

I haven't really kept track, but these are some I've gotten in the not-too-distant past, many of them replacements for old records:

The Stone Poneys -- twofer of their two albums
Janis Ian -- box set of her first four albums
Linda Ronstadt -- Heart Like a Wheel
Eliza Carthy -- Rough Music
Richard Thompson -- Front Parlour Ballads
Traffic -- First album and John Barleycorn Must Die
David Cook
Chicago -- Chicago Transit Authority and II
Charlie

Considering what they became, it's hard to remember that those few early CDs were pretty darn good. T

I don't buy very many since I discovered Pandora on my iPod Touch, but I just got a copy of an old favorite: Jefferson Airplane's classic After Bathing At Baxters

Those and Blood Sweat and Tears (with a nod to Miles Davis, too) took pop/rock music in a whole new direction.

Speaking of which, a couple of albums I forgot on my list, which I'm listening to while doing yard work today:

The Band and Music from the Big Pink.
Charlie

Probably both. In my opinion they - just like MCs - all count for sound storage media. However, I'm inclined to exclude MP3. Doesn't matter with me anyway for I don't own any at all. - Hey, don't look at me that way!

Last 10 album's I've acquired? Uhm, that's kind of hard. For most CDs come my way as unexpected surprise b-day presents.

I take it "acquired" here is meant to be a synonym for "bought yourself"?

If that's the case let's see:
1) Carlos Santana - Ultimate Santana
2) Ray Charles - Genius loves company
3) Garou - Garou
4) Garou - Reviens
5) Ray Charles - Greatest Hits
6) Antonio Vivaldi - Four Seasons

Other than that the only CD I have bought in over five years was an audio book: Charles Dickens Great Expectations.

"Brubeck meets Bach" and Katie Melua's "Piece by Piece" came to me as surprise gifts and I've found I like them (especially the first) eventhough I'd have probably never bought them.

CD's I'd buy this instant if they were available in Germany:
Eileen Ivers - Crossing the Bridge
The Kells - The Kells / Don't burn the water

Vinyl, CD, cassette, 8-track, mp3, whatever floats your boat. Mine list is a mixture of CDs and mp3s though I only include the mp3s if I downloaded the entire album.

Acquired...bought, downloaded, traded, received as a gift, I don't care how ya got it! (Though it you stole it, I don't wanna know... ) If it ended up in your possession, that's all that counts!

All the albums I listed as having acquired are mP3 albums. Some I legally paid for, some not.
