Notice at 1:05 how Kevin uses the upper C key to roll his high As.

I used to do this, too.....my left hand ring finger was too weak and undeveloped to properly roll that A.

other option on the high A instead of the C key: (will not work for lower A)
X X O O O O bell note
O X O O O O cut
X X O O O O bell note
X X O X X O tap
X X O O O O bell note

I figured I would through some flutes in the ceili band up :D We had a great time playing in Tullamore. If you look real carefully, you can see my head pop out in the end of the video back in the drum section :D

The clip of the reels on the flute is AWESOME. Almost a jazz-like expression and attack on the phrases, full-throttle. Thanks for posting!

Two great vids posted by treeshark on another thread:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjLcfnY8-gY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwZ9dFUSDCs

Note that the guy is left handed and is playing a right handed flute (english might not be good...)
You can see him using the C key with the right little finger, which is interesting...

Patsy Hanley is a fantastic player. There is so much hop and drive in his rhythm. It's great to see the crowd moving as he plays. Just great dance music.

Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Completely off topic but: BrendanB your avatar picture looks an awful lot like my flute. I know Boxwood and Dogwood look nearly identical to most people but.,... Nah, must be my imagination.

Hey Loren,

It's a photo of the flute Josh used to own. It's a keyless boxwood Olwell. I know Josh sold it, so I'm not sure where it ended up. Could be more than a coincidence.
