Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

The DAY has Come

Post by tommykleen »

I get up early in the morning to practice. That doesn't mean I'm awake when I do. But I have customized my pipes to help me wake up and pipe right!:

There is enough pressure to force the water through the grounds and make the steam for frothing the milk..and there's plenty of heat from my pipin', believe me!

Just curious - are you using composite reeds because I'm guessing the steam would wreak havoc on ones made from cane!!

I'm thinking that if the lever pointed the other way on of the stock, you could use your wrist to steam the milk WHILE playing!! Now that would be impressive!!
And it's whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
.
