Hi cowtime

Glad you liked Isle of Hope Isle of Tears, even though the lyrics are historically inaccurate - the girl was 13 not 15.

I first saw him live at Fiddlers Green Festival he was on stage for just over two and a half hours and gave one of the best performances I have ever been to.

izzarina - Sean Keane from the Chieftains is a nice fiddler but John Sheehan is my favourite Irish fiddler and a gentleman to boot.

That waltz put me in the mood for this set of waltzes Jon Swayne on Northumbrian half long pipes

Grand bit of Sean Keane there, good one Davy.

John Sheehan was my reason for getting into ITM in general and fiddle in particular.

Here he is with a great little tribute to Ronnie Drew.

My fiddle tunes of the week:

The Red Haired Boy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRXJzCdrEDs

Geese in the Bog...not quite the version I have, but I like it better.
This set also has Swallowtail Jig, which I am doing as a sort of set with Geese in the Bog, I like this version...the ornaments are very cool!
The whole thing is really cool to listen to:
