If you just want to post images, why not open an account on any of the picture storage sites like Flickr, etc. ? That would be even easier.

Susan!

Checkout this blog (a random one I picked on the net), it has mostly images only.

http://postsecret.blogspot.com/

I guess you can do something similar with your pictures.

Because sometimes I want to send messages, etc.

What an odd little site, Az! BTW, what the heck is that in your avatar?!?!?

My suggestion: Tumblr.

It's wonderful, outrageously simple to use, and everything you're looking for, I think. Have a look.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

John, I like that website--plus, I want to bring my dog there! A veterinarian's office where we kenneled my old dog actually "cared" for him so badly that he died within a couple of weeks. Been scared to have my latest dog kenneled ever since then. Your place looks wonderful!

Congrats, I like the look of Tumblr, but they don't let me look through everything first before signing up. On Blogger I can browse through a lot of the instructions before ever signing up.

We'll see how it goes...

Using the free hosting service at googlepages.com, a simple webpage can turn into a website as you keep attachng more pages to build the site. On a cross-country trip from New Haven, Conn. to Salt Lake City, UT, my nephew and his fiancee stopped by our house last week for a rest stop and dinner. Kate had sent us this simple website to announce their wedding.

I have a similar website on googlepages to advertise my Irish flutes (see link below).

The googlepages websites are free and easy to build and edit.

I forgot about
http://posterous.com/
that Dale mentioned a little while ago.

Posterous seems like an excellent choice for what Susan wants to do. No sign up, no HTML, no editor, no layout. Just email any text and photos you want to post to the webpage and you are done. A person can create a new separate email account if there are any privacy concerns.

I don't know...I'm a little concerned about emailing stuff and depending on somebody else to put it where it belongs, in the way I want it. Say somebody at posterous has a bad day, gets laid off, etc. and decides to have a little fun: voila! I've got p0rn all over my page. Or they edit some text I want inserted--we've had fun with that one here on C&F when folks "quote" someone with a fake quote (Who could ever forget "Martin is a fathead!") I'd rather type it in myself and see instantly that it says what I want it to say.

Thanks, Davy. :) I got a blogger.com site set up. It'll take some getting used to... at least I'm making a start!

Thanks for all the suggestions.
