Extreme sheepherding

Post by fearfaoin »

Here's a video of "extreme sheepherding"
They do some marching-band-type formations
and then strap lights to the sheep and do night
formations...

That's awesome.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

Amazing, I remember all the difficulties we had in High School Band. That's a lot of work and the Sheep mind better then the High School Teenagers do, maybe they need the help Border Collies also.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

This reminds me of a scene from a 1930's/40's movie called OWD BOB....It's a pretty corny ( ) movie but there are some lovely images of Border Collies herding sheep over a grassy mountainside just like the one in the youtube clip....with their masters giving directions via whistling and voice....
Seeing your Avatar Simon, this is a must for your video library  ..

As far as viral marketing goes this is one of the best I've seen. Truly superb and great fun.

There's a few people trying to poo poo it on another forum I visit, I suggest those people possibly have no joy in their lives at all.
