Why I love me some Rich Lafferty.

Post by Dale »

Somehow, hackers obtained my FTP password and infected several of my websites with a javascript virus. chiffandfipple.com, righthandpointing.com and others. In the case of c&f and RHP, you can only imagine how many files. C&F has been around for 12 or 13 years on the web and accumulated a zillion files. All infected. I didn't have a chance of fixing the problem. Enter our old friend Rich, who worked his butt off to save me. He found the problem, cleaned the files, put them in a more secure situation, and generally saved my butt.

chiffandfipple.com are back on the air. Thank you, Rich.

My kudos to Rich, too.

I still listen to the flute geezers that I downloaded from his site.

Thanks, Rich!

It looks as though the C&F board might need the occasional mega-tweek, and I'm thankful that you're able to do it.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

I remember the day we were all Rich. Fun day, good member, hard worker for the C&F community for more than a day. Class act all around.

Thanks, Rich! And a retroactive thanks for all the years you spent preventing just this kinda thing.
