Apart from that

Adele, yeah..I forgot about her for some strange reason...

Amy is a different kettle..that's twice in one post..of fish.

Now Etta....oh yes..Soul in abundance. When the rest of her generation were pleading with their girlfriends not to take their man, Etta was telling hers that if he even thought about it she would kill him...after removing several vital organs before. The first Soul singing feminist I always thought.

A lot of people never got past "I'd rather go blind"..alas.

Slan,
D. :)

Well heck, I read the article. This thread isn't about ITM at all. Yippee. There is a lot of soul music being made, there is just no room for it to be marketed on MTV and VH-1 what with all the reality shows. It's being performed in nightclubs and the megacorportations don't have a piece of that pie yet.

That being said, I do believe it was me who posted a link to Amy Winehouse'a Rehab video in the thread about some women's wallet. I'm trying to get you folks hip, I really am.

You have responsibilities like a family that limit your ability to be the Hepster Izzy. You're hep.

It's like being the guest instead of the host. Same party, all the fun, no check.
