Yup, lots of things in the ocean don't seem to ever die, e.g. large sea anemones, especially in the Heteractis group. They spawn, they bud, and they keep on getting bigger, but as far as scientists can tell, once they mature, they just don't seem to ever die. Some anemones in public aquaria are known to be 50-60 years old, and show no signs of stopping.

Reminds me a little bit of Lewis Thomas. I'm still throwing off polyps that's why I have to go back every five years instead of the usual ten, GoLYTELY® :lol:
