A plug for the clip posting thread

Post by joshD »

Just thought I would put a plug in for people to start posting more clips of themselves playing tunes. It is always nice to hear so many different settings and playing styles. Lately It's been the same bunch of us trading tunes back and forth. I know that I speak for the others in saying we would love some company in there :D Anyway, If you need help with recording a clip(audio or video) just let us know. We can help you out. Hope to hear from yaw'll soon :)

I'll post some clips again a within a few weeks time. I usually record some when I go to my mothers place, she has a better cam and mic than I do at home, so the next time I go there for a visit I'll probably post a few tunes on youtube or something.

I'm not sure if I did it right - I emailed 3 clips to the moderator of the clips thread (per the instructions) and haven't seen them posted yet. Is there another thread? Granted, I sent them 2 days ago and it IS the holiday...

no Pat, they're talking about the Flute Forum's clips thread.
You have to host the clips and then post them to the thread.

You, I think, are talking about Tony Higgins' Clips & Snips Forum

Tony will get to it :D

But Clips & Snips is as good a host as any. So when they get posted there, copy the URL and post it in the clips thread here on C&F and we'll have it here as well.

I would record some clips now, but I'm at my fathers place, looking after the animals while he's away on a trip. Cold here too, close to 0 degrees F outside, good food, but nothing but bad blended in the way of

I think I've added a couple of clips to my box.net box since the last time I mentioned it on C&F. I can't figure out how to get a link to the individual tracks within the box, but you can navigate to the whole box by following the link that's in my C&F signature line, and then pick individual tracks to listen to if you want.

Apparently neologisms are a symptom of schizophrenia, I once read......

Perhaps you had "fragmentarianism" in mind before? :) :D
Happily the fractious faction haven't been very busy here recently (and I don't often go looking in Proctology or the Pub for some strange reason......)

Wow, you leave for a week and look what happens! Thanks Josh for reinvigorating the posting clips thread! I've been away from the posting clips thread (I'm sure some would agree that's a good thing!) for awhile, but I promise to put something up shortly (no, that's not a threat). Nice to hear from some different folks though. Keep up the great work ya'll!
