My cousin Jon passed on the 13th of November, 2008. His convoy was hit by an IED in Afghanistan. He leaves behind one daughter, a wife, and his parents.
I attended the funeral in Denver. I don't know if any of ya'll have ever seen a mother bury her son, but it's a painful experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. I can only imagine what Aunt Linda was and is going through. Scratch that; I can't even imagine.
Some of you may have been to a military funeral for someone killed in action. Those of you that have will know what I mean when I say that, when the first sgt did the roll call I started weeping.
