Tell us something.: I play flute, whistle and harp and have been a member on this board for many years. I have tended to be a lurker recently and just posted a response for the first time in quite awhile.
How about tamales? My Mexican roommate in Texas brought them from home around Christmas time when she and her cousins got together to make them. She taught me how to make paper thin flour tortillas, cook them in a skillet until crisp and then spread with orange marmalade. Yummy!

Oh, I ADORE tamales! They're a Christmas tradition all over California. Thanks for the reminder...there's a vegetarian tamale cookbook I've been meaning to order for ages.
