There was an amazing amount of talent at the tionol. I never fail to go home inspired!

I was very happy to get the exclusive virtual tour!
Give a man a wooden reed and he'll play in the driest of weather,
Teach a man to make a wooden reed,
and the both of ye will go insane!

Nice to see all the pics. Hope I manage to get down there again before too long! I see why Gabriel has the tionol at his house; cause then he doesn't have to worry about travelling with the little uns. Although it looks like his are not so little any more!

After you have been married for a while, you start to look like your spouse. I didn't know it happened to pipers too :o

I had wondered why everyone seemed to look the same by the last day of the tionol.
The tionol was a great time. Father Ted was kind enough to take me under his wing and bestow his endless insight about cane. I learned loads of stuff about cane and reeds. By the end of Saturday my brain hurt trying to process it all. He also fitted my tenor drone with a very nice cane drone reed instead of plastic and brass. It's singing beautifully now and my drone sound much more balances. Thank you Ted.
Also, thanks to all who bought cane, your support and kind comments were very encouraging!
All the best,
Joseph Sampson

I'd like to publicly take the oppertunity to thank all the members of the Southern California Pipers Club, firstly for the invitation to attend and share a few of my tunes, thank you Pat and Larry for that.

And secondly, a huge thanks the Gabe and Eileen McKeagney for opening their home to us all so generously.

Thanks again all,

Tommy.
