- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

An announcement
According to the latest census data, there are 783,051 Wilsons in the United States. If all goes as planned, around the end of next June there will be 783,052.
(pause to let that sink in just a bit)
We had a bit of a medical scare yesterday. The doctor had reason to believe something was seriously wrong, and had Mrs. Badger go in for some emergency tests. Everything was just fine, and although it was a tough afternoon, it turned out to be a blessing: they took an ultrasound, several months before they normally would, and we got to see what is happening in there. The little critter looks sort of like a little oblong light gray blob right now, smaller than a jellybean. But here’s the thing: on the edge of that blob, there was a tiny little white fluttering movement. The beating of a heart.
I’ve seen a lot of amazing things in my life, but that little tiny beating heart about takes the cake. How can something so commonplace be so amazing? I know this happens thousands of times everyday, and it has happened to some of you numerous times.
It’s just that it has never happened to us; it has never happened to this child.
That's all for now. Those of you that are believers, you know what to do.

Wyo, Doesn't it irk you that YOU are the one about to become a daddy and another Chiffer keeps getting all the acolades?
Anyway, best wishes to you, all three of you. It is a wondrous time.
As a parent and as someone who has been pregnant, I offer you some advice: Mrs. Badger NEEDS a back massage at least once a day, and you need to start building up your back-rubbing stamina, because she may need you to rub her back for hours when she's in labor. Really, it's the least you can do.
ICE JAM: "dam" good music that won't leave you cold. Check out our CD at http://cdbaby.com/cd/icejam

Sincere congratulations to you both, Tom!!
Of course, to keep your statistics true, you have to hope that none of those other Wilsons have been messin' around.
