- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

I am completely left-handed in everything with the weird exception of eating with a knife and fork. I was lousy at soccer but I could only kick the ball with my right foot. I heard somewhere that we can expect to die younger. Don't believe it myself. I have a bad knee, tinnitus, a dodgy foot, a very short-sighted eye and a malfunctioning facial nerve, all on my right side. My mum swears she never dropped me when I was a baby.
"Last night, among his fellow roughs,
He jested, quaff'd and swore."
They cut me down and I leapt up high
I am the life that'll never, never die.
I'll live in you if you'll live in me -
I am the lord of the dance, said he!
He jested, quaff'd and swore."

My vote just made it ten all..I don't know who was leading.
I'm a righty.
It does make me curious how us rightys do all the complicated stuff on stringed instruments with our left hand.
Tricky one that..

Kurt Cobain was left handed but would play his guitar upside down. So maybe there's something to playing the complicated stuff with your other hand? Who knows.dubhlinn wrote: It does make me curious how us rightys do all the complicated stuff on stringed instruments with our left hand.
Someday, everything is gonna be diff'rent
When I paint my masterpiece.
When I paint my masterpiece.
I clicked left but I perhaps I should have hit in the "middle"
I completely ambidextrous as well.
I have better muscle control for writing with my left, I just do it more with my left but I draw and paint with both hands. Sometimes at the same time when painting.
I teach fencing (when I coach) with two weapons depending on the lesson.

I have taught myself, so as not to annoy right-handed computer users*, to use the mouse with either hand with equal felicity. I don't change the mouse settings either. I consider this to be the greatest achievement of my already illustrious life.
*I'm lying. The real reason I did it was because I got repetitive strain injury in my left wrist.

I'm ambidextrous in a way, but I can't do everything with any hand. I have preference towards one or the other hand in different situations. I write right handed, I'm a north paw in boxing, my right arm is the strongest, I play guitar right handed. But I play whistles and flutes left handed, I eat with knife and fork left handed (but I could switch if I had to). When it comes to kicking (I am an old martial artist) my left leg is the most flexibe, I can easily get a good headkick without warm up with my left leg. My right leg is the strongest though, so when it comes to leg or body kicks I use the right leg. But other than that I guess I'm mostly righty, except in politcs, there I'm rightly lefty!!
Aw, sh*t. I hope no one saw that, with my smart finally I forgot to fulfill my deed. I'll blame it on one to many drams of the

Here come the shoes, but since it's you Izz, they are house slippers....izzarina wrote:Yeah, but he wasn't left handed, was he? Admittedly, I didn't know that Hendrix played like that, but then I've never been one of his greatest fans

That's a great clip- but it's Hendrix so naturally .....

It's not that I don't like him, because I do. But he was never one of those artists for me where I desperately needed his albums. I've always known he was one of the greats, thoughcowtime wrote:Here come the shoes, but since it's you Izz, they are house slippers....izzarina wrote: (waiting for the shoes to fly at her head)

Gasp!!!! I do this, too!!!! It IS an achievement, for which you should be commended!SteveShaw wrote:I have taught myself, so as not to annoy right-handed computer users*, to use the mouse with either hand with equal felicity. Question: Did you get the RSI after using the mouse leftie with the settings changed so that the right mouse button was the main one?
I think it's more ergonomically sound to use a mouse rightie with the "left" or main button switched to the right, so that you hold your hand at an angle to press it. If you use it leftie, then you leave the default settings alone so that it's still the left button that is the main one.
If your hand is at an angle over the mouse, you don't have to lift your forefinger at that awkward angle . . . it just rests at an angle over the top of the mouse to operate the wheel or press the left key easily.
