We are there and Lesley is having the surgery shortly as they do not think she will live until tomorrow without it. I have seen her before they started to prepare her and am now in the flat. She did not know me, which was horrible, but I pray that the surgery will save her. I will keep in touch.

'Twill be hard indeed to replace a heart as large and as good as Lesley's. God bless the surgeons and the patient.

We are praying for you both Roland.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you both.

I'm thinking positively: A new heart! This could be very good!

With love,

I'm not writing in here often Roland but I'm following this thread many times a day and my fingers are crossed for you guys.

Thanks for reminding us all that there are more important issues in life than banks falling and stock crashing.

In all of my time on the Internet, I have never been so attentive to a thread as to this one.

Me too. I think you speak for a lot of us here. There are times when I normally go for weeks without looking in at C&F, but lately I try to keep track of this thread, if nothing else.

Last night I was playing music with friends and someone started "Banish Misfortune." I played it thinking of Lesley and Roland, and of another long-distance music friend of mine who is also seriously ill. If wishes were wellness we'd all have Lesley dancing right now. :)
