Oh, dear. I had to stop; it was dreadful!
The 80s were not kind for Scary.

Tell us something.: Love playing trumpet and modern flute at church as well as Irish trad flute in a band. Been playing Irish trad and 18th century period music for about 15 years.

I hate to admit that I'm also a trumpet player! Much of the performance made my back teeth hurt!

Tell us something.: I restore 19th century flutes, specializing in Rudall & Rose, and early American flutes. I occasionally make new flutes. Been at it for about 15 years.

Great, she is one of us! :P

Now I don't feel bad if she she ends up being VP. She'll be too busy trying to get a hard D to have much influence...

Too many!!!!

"floutist" :boggle:  - flouting what? Public decency?

And how galling for Mr Gal-way to be so mispronounced. I daresay the ghastly, mushy piece of music (that kind of stuff is one reason why my respect for wee Jimmy is severely limited!) was hardly ill-served by the execrable "performance"!

Still, the gal's got gall!

Slower music is very hard to perform well.

She should have played something with a much faster tempo.

This is a disturbing precedent.

I mean...I don't mind the talent competition so much for the VP spot I guess.
But I don't relish the idea of Biden in a swimsuit! And what if Hillary had been nominated?! :boggle:

This whole thing could get really ugly in a hurry.

Al Gore's dad was a pretty hot OT fiddle player, from all accounts.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')
