National Punctuation Day!

Post by jsluder »

September 24th is National Punctuation Day.
"A celebration of the lowly comma, correctly used quotes, and other proper uses of periods, semicolons, and the ever-mysterious ellipsis."
Of course, this is not meant to imply that anyone here is lacking in punctuation skills. Implication is not necessary when the situation is obvious.

I'm trying to punctuate like a pirate but I just don't have it down.

This is such discrimination: Why isn't there a split-infinitive day? Punctuation my apostrophe.

hmmmm...the way things are today, I'll settle for a dangling-participle moment.

Bloo, that's the least of it. But it's nice to see you're relaxed enough with English now to be...um...relaxed at it.
