I had long ago reached the
conclusion that none of you exist!
Dale, Rich, Loren, the whole lot
of you, are generated by a computer
somewhere to keep me happy. I've
played along to escape my otherwise
drab and sordid life.

Last night at Focal Point here
in St. Louis, which is a great
session-like affair except that
we do rock, blues, celtic,
you name it, I introduced
myself and a voice emenating
from a body piped up: 'You're
Jim Stone! I should have known
from your Copelands. I'm Di Di,
from the chiffandfipple board.'

At least one of you is embodied,
it seems. I'm going to have
to rethink things. Best

That's so cool! Another example of how small the world is-- either that, or C&Fipplers are just overtaking it.

We're actually everywhere! I'm heading off today with two C&Fers (and stopping by another's home) to meet up with at least three others (plus a flurry of prospective C&Fers) from, I believe, four states for a weekend of music and mighty craic. Great fun and great people!

It was great meeting Jim. Funny thing was that I always read his posts because they were interesting and because I knew that he was local to me. I remembered that he had gone to California this summer. It was the second time I had met him at the focal point, AND I had heard him tell the group leader that he had been away in California and that his name was Jim. AND of course I did remember the descriptions he had given of his lovely Copelands on the board. And it wasnt until he actually said his LAST name that I put it all together. Oh well, I think I have emptied my poor head to get better resonance wilst singing lol.

Personally, I don't believe either "Jim Stone" or "DD" has a real, i.e. non-electronic, existence. As any Chicagoan will tell you, everybody south of I-80 are next-door neighbors and I've never met either. Therefore, I conclude that "they" , and this thread, are computer-generated attempts by the Department of Homeland Security to fool us. Actually, what proof do we have of the actual existence of their supposed location - "St. Louis"? Probably none of you are real - just electronic figments of the internet. Or is even the internet real? I'm probably imagining the whole thing - including that I'm typing this message.

Oh, well, I suppose I might as well go ahead and imagine hitting the submit button...
