and I liked the original version of MacArthur's Park....

oops, I also liked this- but then I like horses and the singer looked like my dh at the time...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOOb6fEH ... re=related

uh oh...then there's this too...

Oh God, oh God, oh God!!!!

I got stuck on that ride for an hour when I was 6. It sucked.
We went to Disneyland when my daughter was 6, and went on Small World 4 times in 3 days (we bribed her into not freaking out on the Star Wars ride by promising to go right over to Small World afterwards, so we went twice in one day.)

Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

"MacArthur's Park" and "Wildfire" are virtually unforgivable. Dead Skunk makes up for this and brings you back from the edge of the abyss.

Neal Diamond and Gordon Lightfoot.

You had to be there.

I was there once. He forgot the words to "Edmund Fitzgerald". Had to have the audience tell them to him.

He was always doing that right back to the 60s; too bombed to remember his own lyrics. When Canadian Railway Trilogy first became a hit he would stagger to the stage at L'Hibou in Ottawa and the crowd would sing for him. :D

I used to be the proud owner of two Allman Brothers double Lp's, I vaguely thought that it was cool that one of the guitar solos ran over 3 whole sides... or maybe it just seemed like that, oh and Steve Miller... how could I have....

oops nearly forgot, harrrrr!

I spent a shameful amount of my youth listening to progressive rock. I went to a concert and watched Keith Emerson's big modular moog synthesizer sprout bat wings. I stood by and did nothing to stop it.

I'm gay and I absolutely despise Rufus Wainwright. Martha is pretty awesome, though.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

The Love Theme from St. Elmo's Fire still gives me the chills. There. I said it.

Thanks. I feel like I've been given permission to dislike him, too. Which I do.

I have the Tommy Roe album with "Dizzy" on it.
I have threatened unruly houseguests with it for years.

I'm 54.
