A while back I read an interview with Simon Emerson, the Man Wot Twiddles the Nobs as ACSS. He told a story of his wife trying to talk his his then 15 or 16 YO son, who was heading out for an evening at the clubs, into going to the club his dad was spinning at.

Said son was unenthused. The money quots was "when you're 16 years old, going to a club to see DJ Dad is about as uncool as it gets!"
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

The ABBA records are my husband's collection :D - although I like most of their songs.

John Denver was good. I have a couple of his albums someplace.

Lesley has all John Denver's CDs. And the song books, as she used to play them all on guitar. She will probably kill me tomorrow . . . Ah well, live dangerously!
I might not tell her I've told you!

Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

I agree. I did notice, however, that on almost every album he had one song that was either completely wacky or just downright terrible.

I should mention now that I adore ABBA...

Far better than that Liverpool crowd...

It's only Popular music, as they say, but my money is on Abba.

I love and adore 10cc....

thats's another story

I'm 47 years old and...er...I actually LIKE "It's a Small World." I sing along enthusiastically every time we go to Disneyland (which is, like, my favorite place in the world).

I also love The Moody Blues.
