Hi Mike

So are they of your manufacture (or did you buy the other set).

David

Edited to add, I see the other set went to France, so it looks like you are the maker. How about a few pictures of the other instruments you make (as I love the sound of the Hardanger fiddle).

Hi Davy,

Yes, they are mine. There are some photos of my Hardanger fiddles and a nyckelharpa on the Traditional String Instruments forum. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of very recent instruments, as they are all sold as soon as they are finished.

Cheers,
Mike

Or friend of the Geoffry half set and his own chanter is back again. This time the chanter looks like his own make.

Tell us something.: I'm here because I just wanted to change my location... but it turns out much more complicated than I thought. Do I already have the 100 required characters?

Mmmmh, looks like there's something missing at the end of the chanter - shouldn't there be a ferrule?

He just has the chanter top off. Wow that much for those pipes? Surely no one will purchase them...

Sales pitch from Ebay
There are a lot of visitors to this page and a lot of watchers.
You will not get a set of pipes in this condition anywhere for this ridiculous price.
So stop watching and bid before the item closes.

I've seen that - the bottom end of the chanter I mean - there's the ivory mount and then - nothing?

This same item was on eBay sometime last year and if memory serves it was sold. The seller has even used the same photo as appeared in last year's auction.

The item description mentions that it's been in the seller's family for a long time. Did last year's eBay auction fall through?

I am NOT saying that this auction is bogus but if I were to bid on it, I'd want to clear this up with the seller. If the seller is a member of the forum, it might be a good idea to clear up any doubt.

The Chanter and Regulators are Taylor with drones and main stock White

It is elephant ivory not palm tagua nut
