Please, if you can, play Devondancer's Slow Air. She collapsed again last night and is very ill and on life support. They are playing her tune in ICU. I am going back there now.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

I will certainly play her lovely tune.

I am so sorry to hear that she's so ill.

Warm healing thoughts to her, and to you.

We'll be waiting and hoping with you.

Tis a pretty tune.

For those that can't read ABC notation, concertina will convert to MIDI so folks can listen even if they can't read music. Copy and paste the ABC into the link below, add an extra carriage return at the end, and then convert.

Like Annie, I'm playing and praying too.

Roland, I am praying for Leslie and you and for the doctors. The tune is very nice.

Concertina net's midi version sounds almost Strathspey-like.

Lovely tune.

Thinking about you both.

Great little tune.

It has a touch of O'Carolan about it when played a slightly faster.

Here's hoping for some better news.

Having listened to this solidly at the hospital over the last few days (!) and then come home and read the thread again, I noticed that the translation from score to abc was slightly wrong, so I hope this is now correct. Many thanks to the kind person who translated it for me in the first place! Roland

Well, that's the trouble once you start down that old "nose hairs" road - pick, pick, pick! :D
