Well, as promised we will be up and running tonight... Might be late! Some of you on the East Coast, may just want to wait until tomorrow...But hey, it's a Friday Night!

As we still have a bunch of products to enter, not all our products will be up. I would guess that all products will be up sometime Saturday. Also, forgive the typos and other errors you might come across! We'll work out the bugs in the future... Just trying to get up and running. Also, our product descriptions are pretty brief for the most part. Features like extended descriptions, photos & sound clips will be added soon! Thanks for being patient!

Also, since we are still working on configuring our shipping calculator. All orders $0 - $49.96 will be charged a flat rate shipping charge of $4.97. All orders above $49.97 will qualify for free UPS ground shipping. If you require international or expedited shipping... please inquire with us before ordering.

Well, thanks for all the kind words and encouragement! We're looking forward to getting everything running smoothly!

Happy Friday! (the 13th...Boo!)

Peace,

If you believe Macromedia, something like 97 percent of us are set up to see Flash.
It's nowhere nearly that high, probably, but also not as low as some of the other figures I've seen here. But Flash is really not the problem. Regardless of whether you use Flash on that opening "splash" page, the fact that there even IS a splash page is a big mistake, arguably one of the biggest mistakes designers make. I agree: If you find yourself dealing with a designer who insists on a splash page to open a site, you can safely assume he don't know squat about usability. It's like a test.

The time is NOW!

- Oh and yes, you'll probably find a couple typos, and other human errors along the way... and we have more products to put up...but here's goes nothin' ready or not! As they say in Nashville... (and elsewhere I guess...) "A Song's Never Finished!"

-Regardless of splash pages' effect on site usability, I really like yours!-
It loads quickly enough on my 56k dial-up connection, and conveys
your business engagingly. -100%
superior to most splash pages, which
load slowly and deter interest in their site.

Blayne -
You have a superb site here! Well done indeed. And thank you for using my Metloef quote. I hope it stays up there for some time!
Best of luck in this endeavor.

Yep... we spent all yesterday adding more products.

Make sure to sign up for our newsletter as it will keep you up to date of sales, promotions, product additions, web site enhancements, etc...

For example, from now until Christmas, ALL PRODUCTS ARE 10% OFF! (Discount will be added during checkout)

So, sign up for the newsletter... This will be my last post to this thread as I don't want to be overly promotional on the board...

Public thanks to Dale for allowing us to get the word out... And thanks to the Message Board Members for being so supportive!

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Blayne!

Congratulations on a VERY nice sight! Good to see a RMB making good. As soon as I'm not broke anymore, you might be hearing from me--I'm officially on a Quest. (see the "RIP, old trusty" thread)

Wish you could make it up this month...hope to see you soon.

God bless--

Az... thanks for bringing that to our attention! Problem solved...

Orders $49.97 and above qualify for free ground shipping... Orders below are a flat rate of $4.97. That includes Canada... For expedited shipping, select "premium shipping". Anyways... if you have any more questions regarding shipping, etc... our email is info@whistleanddrum.com

Sorry for the confusion... Ironing the kinks!

In the near future we will have more shipping options, but for now, we're just keeping it simple...
