Busman Whistles is moving!

Post by brewerpaul »

I'm so excited.... after living for 8 years in a little bank repo- house, Char and I are moving. You can take the tour here:

http://www.geniebassett.com/tour33broadleaf.html

We tentatively close on or before 8/15.
I'll be out of the whistle business for a little while as I create a new shop, but that will be larger than the 8x8 spare bedroom that currently serves the purpose. Can't wait.

BTW-- any of you computer geeks out there: is there any way to save that web page I just posted? Not just the URL-- I'd like to save the whole page as an HTML document so I can still send it to people after the realtors take it offline. Thanks.
Got wood?

Paul,

Congratulations.

And, you know, we're going to be neighbors. I live about half a mile away.

Paul,

I have it as a 1.6 MB .PDF file (8 pages), except without the Google Interactive section. Would that do? Thus viewable with any Adobe Acrobat viewer, and printable as well.

And you'll have no excuse at all not to come over and play some tunes.

In IE or Firefox, do File | Save (Page) As, and choose type Web Page complete. This will save an HTML copy of the page locally, along with the associated files in a dedicated subfolder. You can then bundle the page and folder together in a zip file to send to others.

Beautiful! Quite a view.

Our neighborhood used to look out on fairly dense forest, which was nice enough. Now we look out on a sparse tree-line, past which is Target.

Paul - Your new home is gorgeous; enjoy it! We bought our first home (now that the kids are out - backwards, I know) last summer, and it's been wonderful. Take your time, enjoy, relax (well, never completely really)...and then get back to that whistle shop, after you've set it up that is. Does this make Busmans from the old shop "collectible antiques?"

All the best,

Philo

Congratulations, Paul! That's a really nice looking place; the view over the water is particularly inviting.

Hey, everybody -- session at Paul's new place! I'm still a beginner at whistle, but I could bring bouzouki. I've been going to some sessions in Saratoga, but that's a bit of a haul, and I think your new place would be closer.

Paul,

I'm on Almeria Dr, same development, basically around two corners from your new place. I walk my dogs around that pond just about daily. Our house is the same model as yours, but it's interesting how these standard-issue homes have become individualized since they were built in the 60's.

I'm hoping to have some sessions at the house later in the summer with some folks from Union College (we have a regular session going on Fridays during term). And I'm certainly open to just getting together whenever. (So, Musical ADD, please send contact info.)
