Richard Katz wrote:Here is a pic of me after my 100 mile Century ride in Yosemite Valley.

I rode 100 miles in 12 hours on a beautiful May day in 1989 atop my 54" 1885 Rudge Light Roadster.

It was made in Coventry, England and I purchased it it 1987 from a fellow club member in Concord, Mass.

I have ridden it at IVCA Rallys in England, Scotland, Holland, and Belgium.

The pub crawls are the best!

I still ride it as often as I can. It is a real rush if traffic!

Also some close ups of my wheel.

Cheers! Richard

This is my joy and pride: my brandnew mountainbike. I'm completely in love with it. I never had a mountainbike before, and this one is just marvelous.

Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Tell us something.: From the land beyond beyond. From the time past hope and fear. I bid you, Genie, now appear! Well, the Genie did not appear but the notification to type at least 100 characters did so I am back and typing some more as you, if anyone actually sees this, can probably tell.

Now this is a bike!

A J.C. Penney.

Notice the custom features such as the bungee cord to keep the kickstand up and the fine Corinthian leather seat cover.

I keep this off the mountain trails so as not to embarrass anyone. (Me)

I already posted this on the Sheldon Brown memorial thread, but now that this thread's been resurrected I'll show off my old Davidson:

Image

Custom frame from 1979, when Bill Davidson was still working out of his garage down in Kent, Washington. This is a working bike: used for commuting and running errands mostly, but last summer (when this picture was taken) I took 11 days off to pedal down to McMinnville, Oregon and back on my epic Tour of Pacific Northwest Aviation Museums.
