Irish in Central Kansas

Post by rhulsey »

I'm going to be spending the next few weeks working near Salina, KS. Anyone know of an opportunity for a brew and a tune or two there?

Thanks,

Reg

I stayed in Salina on a cross country drive. There's at least one stop sign and a Wal-Mart.

Tell us something.: Well, just trying to update my avatar after a decade. Hope this counts! Ok, so apparently I must babble on longer.

If you want to make the drive into Kansas City, I can help you out - we have bi-weekly sessions (2nd and 4th Saturdays, 3-6, at the Gaf on Wornall and Gregory...which is also Wornall and 71st Street).

You could always walk up and down the street calling, "Here, Todo!" :D

I'd rather be atop the foothills than beneath them.

Um, I'm thinking you mean Toto?

I think we had the tornado here in Colorado yesterday. :)

Central Kansas is probably more Swedish than Irish.

You are right on that one. I'll be in Lindsborg. Seriously Swedish!

Ah yes. A bit south of Salina. Go about twice that distance north of Salina and you'll be in my mom's hometown of Concordia. Lots of Swedes there, too (including my mom's relatives). :)
