a self mulching deciduous tree. When the leaves begin to fall off, they turn into little tiny pieces before hitting the ground, thereby doing away with raking and the need for loud leaf blowers.

If I were driving and someone was tailgating I could make their oil pan bolt fall out.
I love this- please make the thing- NOW! so I can use it on the idiot drivers I meet every day, multiple times on my mail route.

If you meet them multiple times on your mail route, maybe you should think about your driving....
Why do people use aluminum to put beer in it, if you can make whistles out of it?

They already invented that, it's called a shoulder fired rocket launcher.

I just need a license to use it!

To get back to the topic/question....

I'd invent the teleporter. It would change everything.

I'd create an ad-on automotive device that would increase my gas-guzzler's mileage to 200 miles per gallon. (Or more, you say...?)

With a teleporter you wouldn't need it. :)

Hey KAC...
I require all the comforts of my personal vision of home...when I "get there." How will your wondrous teleporter provide this?

It doesn't use fossil fuel.

Considering the fact that the teleporter would likely require about 10^9 times as much energy as the galaxy produces, fossil fuels are a little out of the question. :D You'd have to constitute two separate black holes, connected by the inevitable wormhole for each location you wish to transport between. It won't become a widely sold appliance in quite a few years. Somewhat of an engineering problem there.
