Peets is what I get when I can afford it. Otherwise I like Mayorga, which is locally roasted. My current fave is Mayorga "Winter Blend," which is a heavy-but-balanced dark roast. Really, really nice stuff, almost chocolatey.

Mayorga cigars are excellent too.

BTW: better on-the-road cups than starbucks can be found at www.wawa.com ...pity they're not nationwide (yet)
Also Joe Mugg's coffeeshops, which are affiliated with Books-a-Million book stores, have very good coffee. It's an entirely different breed from Starbucks and the like.

Am I starting to sound like Gonzo?
No, my dear.
I think there are certain people gifted(?) with taste buds which simply don't distinguish coffee. Drinkers of Postum, for example. (blech.)

Furthermore, you would look charming in this lovely new suit. Which of course is fine, as you can see. I'm sure you can. I'd never ask you to dress improperly, would I?

*stands up* Hello, my name is Izzy and I am a coffee snob. ;) I've had this love affair of sorts since I can remember. My favorite flavor of ice cream was even coffee...I still actually love it. I used to eat the coffee beans before that was en vogue, and without the added benefit of chocolate. Yes, I am hard core...thank you for noticing.

I also do the whole Fair Trade, shade grown whole coffee beans (when I can), and grind them fresh just before brewing. It's really the only way to go. The pre-ground garbage is...well....garbage. I know I've mentioned it before here, but the best coffee by far is Jim's Organic Coffee, and the best choice there is their Blend X aka Witches Brew. Oh my....words just cannot describe....and it's at it's very best when you use a French Press to brew it. The French Press was a recommendation here on the Chiff, and I'll forever be indebted to as well as curse the person who did the recommending. I now drink far too much coffee, and love every second of it. :P But even more sub-standard coffee tastes like a bit of Heaven in a French Press. SIGH!
Someday, everything is gonna be diff'rent

They are just very slightly inferior to real coffee, which means that they are very, very bad indeed.

Well I'm hardly likely to make my own bangers as I lack the space to cultivate my own porkers and the machinery with which to convert them into lovely links. I think I'm probably not in a minority.

I take it that you and Mississippie John Hurt and the Coffee blues are not aquainted...go back to Lyle and work out where he learned his guitar playing.

BTW, Spelling ain't my ting...

That is a mincing machine. The finest sausages contain chopped pork, not minced. Having said that, I'm sure yours are lovely.
