Is C&F slipping???

C'mon, 2 years ago I could not have possibly flooded the first page in my (reduced) browser with posts by "mitch". It was litterally imposible. I tried.

Tried again tonight and got the holy grail (it's very nice - thank you - I am drinking from it now).

But somehow - my well-under-control modesty forbids me to drink too deep! (There's gotta be some left for the goat and the stick.)

DO you think that the other "ITM" site is claiming too many of us? All that sardonic-ness and dour humor cannot be the epicenter of cultural re-awakening!!

All that Fleadhs and Coeltass (flAARRRRRrrrzzz and Cooool T Assszzzz) and missionary poisition music is not the grail (I know - I have one - itz veeery nize).

Gimme a whystule!
All the best!

As liberals go, I'm pretty much a believer in the market. I assume that eventually C&F will be supplanted by something better. To keep C&F on top, I'd have to not rest on my laurels by constantly try to improve it. I haven't done a lot of that. Probably because there's no capitalism ($) involved. (Which is my choice.) So it goes. All things must pass. Etcetera.

You really shouldn't do that for too long, anyway. They'll fall asleep, and when
you try to get up, you'll find there's no feeling in your laurels. Then you might
fall flat on your bay leaves, and wives laugh mercilessly at such shenanigans.

Which "other" ITM site are you referring to? There's lots.

Hmmmm ... Dale .. very existential there ...

But I beg to dissagree with the use of the "whistule-cypher" in conjuncion with the "market" demon. .. very bad omen.

I would councel that the tin-leprchaun is more than a match for the cadres of mr Murdoch (et-al). TL says so anyhow.

I hereby invoke the Social-Capital goddess!

She, of infinite arms and all value at her fingertips (mudras, esoteric weapons and just-plain-super-cutty-stuff) has proclaimed that Old-Number#7 shall be sacrificed to C&F by imersion in the evil smoking volcano "Raffle". to appease the demon and buy time for a set or 2.

During which time, the faithful can ponder their options!

So mote it be.

Old number #7 will be for the good of the chiff (and the fipple), without whom, Old number #7 would never have been. Seems fitting.

Dale - do you want to use your account for the gathering? Or shall I use mine? (we'll need paypal and credit card access at a minimum.)

I must say - I've had #7 back for a week or 2 and - hey, after a bore-polish and some TLC, it's not too bad for a non-tunable that I made over a year ago!

What say?
All the best!

C&F ain't slipping, other than a few people getting by with being bullies, and running off folks, because they are "respected members of the community."

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Mitch, what in cerulean blazes are you going on about????

Here you are after your hiatus - hiatus - and waxing frantic about low activity here (um, yokay).

Chill. Chill. And sacrifice nothing. It's quite Zen and politically correct to do so. Any other kind, and the missus will not thank you for the mess.

You may still have. After all you've been seeing Bloomfield apparitions and wonky stuff like that.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Sounds like somebody's been ordering extra oregano on the pizza again?

I assure you--there was no oregano involved.
