Yes, I know it's a r******r, not a whistle but it sure is cute! Unfortunately, my fingers will not come close to fitting it.

It's a cutie! A few questions:

o How old is the instrument? Where purchased?
o Is it a baroque model? A full 2-octave range?
o What is the wood?
o Does it attract bats, dogs and dolphins?

I purchased this a short time ago in a lot with other recorders on ebay. I had hoped to use it but my fingers just will not fit. I do have fat fingers.

I can just barely fit the tips of my left hand on the top holes and play Mary Had A Little Lamb, no way for me to squeeze the right four on the holes. I am not sure about the fingering but from info on another forum I believe it is standard baroque fingering and yes my ringing ears say it goes into the 2nd octave. My guess is that it is made of rosewood.

You asked:
Does it attract bats, dogs and dolphins?
I have not been brave enough to try it outdoors.

Dag nab it! If only the holes weren't compensated for a righty, I'd be all over this.
