- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

- Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

'Cause sometimes you just feel like wallowing in the kitsch. Like, because. I mean, "Brotherhood of Satan"? What's not to love about that? The very name promises gratuitous tripe and glurge, and sometimes that's just the thing.Denny wrote:so, ah....why do y'all watch movies that you don't expect to like?
Then maybe you see some actual acting - good acting - and it makes the experience all the tastier. Sort of like finding a good quiche under all the ketchup; neither is improved by the pairing, but you eat it anyway.

- Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Same for me. I read the book and thought it sucked, but the movie turned out to be quite good.chrisoff wrote:Fyffer's post just reminded me of one (not sure why):

Thought it was going to be rubbish, but it turned out to be excellent.
