freak march snowstorm
at noon:
2 hours later
Note that the snow has risen to the level of the bottom support beam on the fence.
barely making it up the driveway:
I know this isn't big snow for some parts of the world, but for us, it's crazy!

I imagine so.Wanderer wrote: I know this isn't big snow for some parts of the world, but for us, it's crazy!
Here in Chicago we can expect snow until mid April.
I think our last frost date is mid May.
I've been wearing my thermal long underwear this season since Oct.
Mid Dec. I bought an Anglo concertina.
We all deal with the white stuff in our own way.

I am watching this one on the weather maps. It is supposed to move up out of Texas and nail us in the Great Lakes region on Friday night. Current forecast is for a minimum of 20 cm of snow. My biggest concern is that it doesn't turn into several hours of freezing rain.
Thank you, Texas.

I'd rather be atop the foothills than beneath them.

Do I dare look at the weather reports? I'm sure that it's more than likely supposed to come this way...they ALL come this way

- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

yeah, 3 days ago, weather.com said today was supposed to be in the 70's. Today, it's predicting more snow starting around midnight, and off-and-on all day tomorrow. Schools have already announced that they're closed tomorrow.missy wrote:IT'S THE WHITE DEATH!!!
they are calling for 7 - 10 inches here by mid-Saturday. Which means we'll get nothing, or several feet of it.

- Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.
