yes, I lived in the south of spain several years in the late 70's and I lived on tapas, red wine, tortillas de espanol, and paella. I still prepare alot of these dishes. I especially like their raw anchovies marinated in vinager, parsely and raw garlic. grilled blood sausages, grilled octopus, garbonzo beans. I'm goin' to fix someting spanish tonight!
thanks for reminding me, tansy

I love tapas. I just can't really afford to eat out much, and the places that serve 'em are very pricey which belies the whole point in terms of Spanish culture. Tapas at home are the way to go. But I never remember that until somebody else mentions them.
How do you prepare for the end of the world?

Agreed. There's a pretty good place in downtown San Jose, but it's super pricey and there's not a whole lot a vegetarian can eat there... Although what there is, is good. The Weekenders wrote:I love tapas. I am happy that this place (Picasso's) is still in business, though, as TWO other restaurants ALSO called Picasso's have recently opened up, one less than a block away(!)

If you're ever over in Renton, you should check out Red House Beer and Wine Shoppe and Tapas Bar.Casey Burns wrote:Anyone here into Spanish food and Tapas? I am.
