I too had the wonderful chance to speak with both Colin and Brigette this past weekend. From all the great things I've heard about them I was expecting them to be nice people, but, I still wasn't prepared for how great the experience was. I have to add that Colin sounds great on the whistle even while he's asleep.
Bloomfield, this must mean that soon you will have another member of the family. What are you expecting? I'm expecting a bouncing baby low F.
Congrats!!
Eric

Two new babies, actually, Eric. I am getting a C (narrow bore) and a mezzo A that sounded just stunning on the phone. First thing Colin played was Miller of Drohan on the A, and even though he ended up playing many tunes, that is the one that is still with me now. There were two C's to choose from: that was hard. I ended up going with the breathier on: After all, it's that breath, the grit, that I so love about the Overton sound.
The whistles aren't even here yet, but it feels like my birthday, I tell you!
