I just cried in National Treasure Book of Secrets because those folks had character. My entire family still doesn't get why I cried through Narnia. And they read the books too.

I once cried for ten years.
The movie was scripted and directed by me.
My Life.

Offered in Wide-screen, Nicked-up, Full Perception.

If I tear up in a movie, it often has more to do with me personally and how the movie has been able to press my buttons.

( And they can be tears of joy too! )

My kids bet each other on how many times I will cry in just about any movie we go to. The list of movies would go on and on and on...and on and on. One thing will ALWAYS get to me: an unexpected act of kindness or generosity.

Well that's just it.
I actually cried at The Parent Trap, Lindsey Lohan version, because her character was the same age as my daughter who, at the time, was seriously struggling with an illness and was on a trip with her grandmother to give me a break. I took my other kids. And cried.

It's embarassing but....I always cry during The Lion King when Mufasa dies.

Forrest Gump gets me choked up

The Good Girl with Jennifer Aniston and Jake Gylenhall....first time I saw that movie I was sobbing for nearly half an hour after it ended!

Titanic(I can hear your hisses and boos) but only the first time I saw it.

I also cried during Matrix:Revolution when Neo died

that's the ones I can think of off the top of my head

I'm a pathetic emotional creature...any single ladies looking for a sensitive man that's not afraid to cry? lol!

Unlike my husband, who will tear up at the drop of a hat, I rarely cry during a movie. The only two I can think of ...Gorillas in the Mist- when she found the male's hand I just plain ole blubbered from then on through the rest of the movie, tears of sadness and rage, and long ago on TV , one called The Snow Goose.

Howdy Mr. D. and Happy New Year!!!!! :D

Which movies have made you cry, and what are they about? Would you watch them again?
You know, I didn't like Brokeback Mountain. I felt like it was just used to bring homosexuality, with extreme emphasis on the sexual part, to the screen in a more blatant manner. The movie itself just wasn't that good. The story relied way too much on assumption and the shallowness of the relationships didn't jive with the weight given them - The love implied between the two guys was never supported by any of the story, only the lust and insanity. That may be the fact of a lot of relationships, hetero or homosexual, but I think it could have been done a whole lot better.
