For this seasonal time for all I know and don't on the Board
I wish you peace, happiness, love, and good tidings during this time and all times. Whether you are religious or not as I know many may not be, I wish the same for all my friends and even those that aren't.
An Irish Blessing
Go n-éiri an bóther leat.
Go raibh an ghaoth go brách ag do chúl.
Go lonrai an ghrian go te ar d'aghaidh.
Go dtite an bhtháisteach go min ar do phtháirceanna.
Agus go mbuailimid le chthéile aris, go gcoinni Dia i mbos A ltháimhe thú.
(May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall gently upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.)
-myself
p.s. enjoy your life

I have very little Irish; I had a friend who was starting to teach me at one point and our jobs changed stopping my progress cold after just a few lessons.
That said, and I hope I say this right,
Tá tú go han mhaith, ar fad.

May peace and comfort come to you and yours this season and carry on throughout your life!

I make absolutely no claim to having spelled that even remotely correctly.The_Celtic_Bard wrote:Shalom means "health" right, if so Sláinteanniemcu wrote:How do you say "Shalom!" in Gaeligh??

"Shalom" is peace in Hebrew. The Irish equivalent would be "síocháin leat" (to one person) or "síocháin libh" (to multiple people). Literally "peace with you."
Pronounced roughly "SHEE-uh-khan lat/SHEE-uh-khan liv"
Síocháin libhse go léir, anois is go deo!
