I'd like to see another from Jimmy O'Brien-Moran. Or at least a reissue of the previous one. Unless I'm mistaken in believing that it's out of print. How about Sean McKiernan on the Touhy set?

I second the vote for Maire Ni Ghrada and third or fourth or fifth or whatever it is the vote for Benedict Koehler.

Talk about pipe dreams.

Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.

Tell us something.: I’m changing my location to my actual address. My previous location was a reference to Joyce’s Finnegans Wake.

A reissue on CD of Pat Michell's work would also be nice.

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Definitely Benedict, I doubt he would ever do a solo cd, but maybe a cd with a few solo tracks. He is a great piper.

I'd suggest Sean Talty.

Sean McKiernan received Patsy Touhey's Taylor set from his friend Tom Busby, who had it from his father-in-law Mike Carney.

Tell us something.: I caught the trad bug listening to Liam O'Flynn. Started on whistle, then moved to pipes. Tricky Basmatis, but I love 'em.

- John McSherry
- Cillian Vallely
- Tiarnán ó Duinnchinn
- Michael O'Connell
- Brendan Ring (time for a second album Brendan!)

Also a definite a vote for Seán McKeon and Louise Mulcahy. I'd also love to see Greg Waite (NZ) put out an album -- he'll kill me when he reads this!

when i first met him in 1979, he was thinking about it then. hopefully he'll get off of his ass and record one.

Hi BDH
I'm terribly flattered! In the absence of a beermat I believe that Troublesome Things provides an excellent alternative resting place for your chilled pint of Fosters!
