It looks like in 2008 they are going to try to remake Conan. Uggah...
Strange. last night I was talking to someone and remakes came up because of the movie "I am Legend".

I liked the Brando remake of Dr. Moreau.

I don't really care for Will Smith but I'll probably go see I Am Legend
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

I'm pretty interested in that one too...
I noticed there's a new printing of the novel out now, so I may read it before seeing the remake

In 2008 they are also going to start shooting the Paul WS Anderson remake of The Long Good Friday. Set in Miami.

I saw TV ads last night for the pending release of Rambo. Lots of stuff blowing up. The real challenge is whether anyone can be less coherent than Sylvester Stallone in the original.

Well he ought to be appropriately incoherent. After all he set the standard. I didn't pay attention to the first ad until they flashed Rambo on the screen at the end. When it appeared again, I watched. As I said lots of stuff blowing up, no recognizable faces, many very fast clipped images, mostly violent and no dialog, voice over or credits. Maybe it's part of the ad campaign and they tell me about Stallone tomorrow.

My brother & I like watching the old black & white version of "The Lost Horizon" and singing along with the songs from the cheesey 70's musical during all the right scenes.

Ha! Just wait till I finish my remake of The Quiet Man. (Unfortunately there isn't a lot of memory on my mobile phone so I may need to cut a few scenes)

OMG they didn't put the awful awful remake of Treasure Island on that list? It features Charlton Heston doing the worst acting of his carreer (which is really saying something) and doing the Worst Accent In Film History. That accent makes Dick Van Dyke seem like Meryl Streep.
