Haven't had much success with that, have you?The Weekenders wrote:Keepin' it real, Western-style. And, it just so happened that Shaw told me to get off my high horse right about the time the photo was taken.

Every time I turn around, I wonder where I've been.
Time to stop turning round, I guess.

This is a caricature from when I worked at His Kids Radio, where my air name was (and is) Captain Cal.
I still have an email someplace from Glenn Schultz, where the first line is, "Arrr, Cap'n!"

- Tell us something.: I love whistling and I have been a member of this forum for many years now.I have found it very informative and helpful over the years that I have been here.

Many years ago, the wife and I had a beat-up Airstream motorhome that the kids dubbed the Walrus because it was fat, round and brown. Somehow the name migrated and we became the Walrus family. I've used variations of Walrus as a screen name or email address over the years because it is easy to remember.
The Walrus
What would a wild walrus whistle if a walrus could whistle wild?
The second mouse may get the cheese but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't need it. I could stop anytime... if I wanted to... I could... really....toughknot wrote:Dude, I live near Hershey,PA. I can hook you up....Traveler wrote:"Reclining and mainlining."
The substance being abused is Hershey's chocolate syrup. It was merely a gateway drug, though... I've since moved on to chicken-fried steaks and beer!

Mine is the soundhole of my James Jones 3/16/18/9 hammered dulcimer. It's taken from a tracing of a leaf that grew on a tree that grows beside my house (but not in a bog down in a valley-o). The whistle shown is a Feadog that was my favorite whistle at the time I joined the forum. Unfortunately that whistle's head cracked, and although I tried to glue it, it was never the same afterward.
