Have you heard Bill Hick´s sketch about hooligans?

I must say I´m surprised that there will be no team from GB. England didn´t make it to the European Championship and Northern Ireland and Scotland didn´t either. I´ve heard rumours that Svennis will be back after England´s sacking of McClaren.
I would hate to be a dustbin in shaftesbury. :D

I'm STILL laughing about England not making it through. We were terribly unlucky against Italy, but frankly just to be in the position where we were playing Italy in the final game of the group still with a chance to go through was amazing. When we got drawn with the world cup winners, the runners up, the quarter finalists and Georgia we thought we were utterly screwed.

Sven will never be back as England manager. They hate the man down there and he's doing pretty well at Man City anyway.

That is a mouse. Or possibly some other kind of rodent. It most definitely is not a bird or a cetacean.

Mine is me playing flute at a local mall. Behind me are a number of young maidens who have swooned to my godlike playing.
But really, my band was about to play at this mall, and I was doing some warmups on the flute. For some reason a Modern Dance class was there and during my playing they all laid down on that fountain. Luckily our guitarist had his camera handy to capture the strange moment.

Sometimes these pictures change, and the descriptions may cease to be applicable.

This present one Image is an angel playing the pipe and tabor, from a 15th Century painting of the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child.

I wonder why? Sven (or Svennis as we say) has been very successful everywhere where he has been. Here in Gothenburg, in Italy and now in Manchester. And the english team hasn´t done any better after they sacked him. Sorry about Scotland, but it was a very difficult group you played in.

The avatar I'm using now is a picture of one of our ferrets, Iggle, who had just been nosing through freshly fallen snow and had a snowflake on her nose and a very cold wet ferret face.

Image

My wife and I designed this as a family totem to reflect her Welsh and Irish ancestry and my Irish, Scots-Irish and Scots heritage and spirituality. Some of the imagery is taken from the great Celtic crosses at Monasterboice (Mainistir Bhuithe) and from my dad's clans of Stuart and Buchanan.

The inscription means "Fearless Heart."

The knot work and holly are meant to symbolize the enduring triumph of the human spirit down through the ages and the continuity of family. We also took inspiration from this song, which Karan Casey and Tim have both recorded:
It's Another Day (To Live and Die)
Tim O'Brien and Darrell Scott

This world is made with sweat and toil
Pushing muscle and elbow oil
We can't lie too long in the shade
'Cause everyday must be remade

Some days we fall, some days we fly
In the end we all must die
Our rotten flesh and broken bones
Will feed the ground that we call home
Will feed the ground that we call home

Chorus:
A new sprout grows from a fallen tree
This song will go on after me
So lift your heart and dry your eyes
It's another day to live and die
Another day to live and die

I've run naked in the wild
Seen the beauty of a new born child
Like the alchemists of old
I've tried to spin my straw to gold

Most times a giver, sometimes a thief
So full of hope but prone to grief
And between freedom and despair
I know the truth is lying there
I know the truth is lying there

(Chorus)

Go on now, don't you worry about me
You've miles to go and a world to see
My life's been long and full and good
I've run this race the best I could

It's a short time here and a long apart
The same song rings in both our hearts
So take this guitar when I'm gone
Write your rhymes and pass it on
Write your rhymes and pass it on

A new sprout grows from a fallen tree
This song will go on after me
So lift your heart and dry your eyes
It's another day to live and die

(Chorus)

Mine is a very deep and meaningful image.

It brings into question the great questions that humanity often questions.

Is there a god?

If there is can he make a whistle so out of tune he can not play it?

If not then why call him god?

Could he make a kitten playing a whistle?

I did.

Oh snap.

HAH! I'm not falling for THAT internet trick!!!
Ah, Cmon, Idawhoa! Actually, it's good you didn't! If you had, I have my advanced computer programmed to suck information directly from your brain, place orders for a duplicate of all your whistles and have them mailed to directly my house at your cost! (but only the wood ones!)

Mine is entitled "Stick pauses to glower at the paparazzi as he departs the photo-shoot with a close 'friend'."

I found it one day when I opened Stick's mail by mistake (some mistakes are best repeated as often as possible). It was accompanied by a note demanding remuneration to keep it off the front page of a disreputable glossy mag.

On this occaision, I believe Stick chose to send a few goons in lieu of payment.

If you look closely, you will notice Stick's designer blowfly-glasses which were all the rage at the time. His "friend" also has a pair. The goon's shades are simple Ray-Bans.
All the best!

I agree 100%. Whistling Kitty is just about the happiest, cutest thing I've seen in my entire life! I think Aanvil could tell us all to take a flying leap into hell, and we'd all be grinning from ear to ear on the way down. :-)

Mine is simply a picture of myself and one of my great grandchildren.

Jerry's is actually a picture of Ralph. :)
