I could go on and on, but here are a few considerations.

You have to keep them warm. (They did originate in Africa.) Otherwise they hibernate and that's not safe for domesticated hedgehogs.

In the wild they travel miles each night hunting insects, so they need a really good exercise wheel. I had to build one with ball bearings since normal ones wear out too fast. Other activity is also good.

The right diet is important -- but I guess that's true for all pets.

Here's an overview link:

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Mine pretty much speaks for itself.

I'm a blockhead with a dark cloud over me and nothing ever seems to go my way.

The colours and orientation of the elements have significance but I won't bore you with the details...
bore us!
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

An imageless name
That shall be one day
But of a representation
That defines and doesn't
For no thousand words
Could ever come to be
What I am
What you are
What anyone is

I don't have any photos I like that would work.
Why build character when you already are one?

FrankenGuru is a self-portrait snapped one day in a Staples office supply store while testing photo printers. Numerous appreciative comments about the threatening angle and visible nose hair convince me that it's the perfect avatar (though it may be time for a change).

And it is a wonderful portrait, one question better than your Driver's licence?

I just picked mine because I have an art background, and heck...what better for this forum than "Whistler's Mother"?

Cheers!

Last year I went out in the near forest to get some nuts and chestnuts.
My wife randomly (but nicely, I think) put them in a basket on the kitchen table. I found the result visually appealing and decided to take a picture of it.

I will change it though when winter comes...

Mine shows D whistles in green and yellow Delrin. The yellow was a special order from a customer, and I thought green would be pretty popular, due to the green/Irish connection, but I ended up only making one of each color. However, in avatar size they show up better than most woods or black plastic.
Got wood?

The red man went on holiday to Rome with his red family. He needed to prove to his green boss that he really went to Rome so he asked his red wife to snap this picture.
That's all.

Mine was taken on my sailboat whist underway. It was a glorious sunset at sea. It represents freedom and all its possibilities to me. :)
