Kind of hard to imagine, isn't it. Happy Thanksgiving. Cheers, Cyril.

i'm taking my whistles, flutes, and harmonicas with me. that'll teach 'em.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Imagine there's no fipple
It isn't hard to do
No high D's or low ones
No chiff or tweaking too

Imagine all the people
Whistling with just their lips
Oo oooo, Oo Oo ooo

Imagine there's no Feadogs
It's easy if you dare
There's no Oaks or Waltons
No Overtons or Clares

Imagine all the people
Who'd have to play bodhran
Oo oooo, Oo Oo ooo

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
We hope one day you will join us
And the world can play as one

Gonna play from a tree stand in the wee hours? That should freak out the hunters in the woods! Perhaps they'll believe the woods are haunted and leave it to you. :D

I love the sound of whistle floating through the trees--so haunting and etheral! I'd rather play in the woods than anywhere else!

And, I can't imagine being without Cand F! As soon as I got my first whistle kit (my daughter bought a Walton's package at a music shop far from home) I found C and F online. And spent the next hour laughing at Dale's excellent humor.
From then on all my searches started there.
Thanks, Dale!

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

But it would be all for naught if it was not for The Internet. And we all have Al Gore to thank for that, right? :-? that and "global warming"....
