It was awesome to see her play!
Does anyone recognize the whistle Joanie is playing?

Good stuff!

As amazing as that video is, it's nothing compared to seeing her play live.

Joanie Madden is a force of nature. Her whistle playing is jaw-dropping; her flute playing rattles the walls.

Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

It's an O'Riordan (aluminum). On the video you can see where she's worn off the black anodized covering around the finger holes.

Very nice! The second tune is "Finbar Dwyer's". Here we call it "Mary Bergin's" because it's Gan Ainm on Feadóga Stáin.

There's an entry in The Fiddler's Companion:

Been away for awhile and haven't played in as long a time as I can remember; but now that we're pretty much settled in to the new house, that sure served as inspiration! Thanks Dale and Joanie.
