I would loose the "mellow".
This gets my vote.

Mine too.

I think those names will look best on the website and they don't sound bad.

I hope that one option will be one head and two bodies so we can have either character depending on mood, tune, or circumstance. Sounds like a good combo. I already want one.

I myself would like to see a little more character , more combing in the lathe work--------------but i love the fattness in the ferrule section-----maybe a thickerwalled all around, might solve the quietness--------------but the pro's volume is great as it stands now

I love the idea of a whistle that hits that high B without causing all the coyotes in the neighborhood to howl. Good idea! Whatever the name ends up being.

I just had a thought.

Why not make all parts seperate as a test for a period of like ½-1 year?

People can order the kind they want then, be it 1 head + 2 bodies. Each part having a seperate price, a small discount per part on multiples, and a minimum buy of "one whole piece", ie 1+1 for new customers.

I don't know how possible or costly this is manufacturing wise, or if it will allow the whistles to keep their wonderful sound. But i think many customers would enjoy having that choice when buying whistles.

How about something like Pro Pub and Pro Practice? Just taking from Walt's initial naming thought. The idea of offering two bodies and one head (the Pub & Practice set?) that was brought up also sounds like a great idea. More versitility for the buck.

I haven't read the other recommendations as I came over from the new thread where you are deciding between Pro Mellow and Pro Sweet.

I don't care for either name.

Mellow makes me think of the Mellow Dog.

What about something like these?

The Sweetheart Pro Soft
The Sweetheart Pleasant Pro
The Sweet-tempered
The Sweetheart Dulcet
The Sweetsound
The Gracious Sweetheart
The Sweet Honey
The Sweets Silk
The Lilting Sweetheart
The Silvery Sweetheart

You can tell I'm a woman, can't you?

I just read through this thread. I'd probably name them something like Vixen and Muse or Smooth and Spry.

A lot of folks are saying that "mellow" reminds them of the Mellow D and/or the Mellow Dog. When I think of "the Sweetheart, or the Sweets' Pro Mellow" , I don't think of other mellow whistles, all I think is "This is a SWEETHEART!. Steadfast reputation and superb quality......that says it all!"

Well, another .02 worth,

Lyn

My vote goes here as well. Sweetheart Lyric is a great name.

So, maybe something like Sweetheart Sweet Pro (or Lyric Pro), and Sweetheart Session Pro? (....thank God, no one has suggested 'Pro Lite'!! ).

Wow, that is very very cool.

I voted pro-mellow/plus but I'm with Judy and Paul on this one.

I may be going out on a limb here, but if the bolder one is going to be the Pro Plus why not name the softer one the Pro Minus.
