Whats not to like?

Oh hell... you could just turn off the sound and stare... what would be fine too. :D

I've often wondered if they are actually playing... they are.

Never heard them before that clip, but I always figured whats not to like about any congregation of 12 female musicians? They're good too... :)

Oooo! Cute! And they wear witchy sleeves.

And you say they play music as well? :P

That was a rather bizarre video. How did they manage to play drums on the pi pa? :boggle:

I gave them a hearty round of applause (choice #2.)
They are cute, and they play well.
The music though, while pleasant, was long and not incredibly engaging after several minutes. It affected me kind of like a cd of new-agey John Tesh stuff. Pretty pieces, and maybe nice as background noise, but not enough to keep me riveted more than a number or two. I was getting bored. Witchy sleeves notwithstanding. (and hell when you eat spaghetti.)

I love them. They're just weird enough for my tastes.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Aren't they the ones that do the killer version of "Reel Around the Sun," the opening number from Riverdance?

Very cool, if you ask me. But I have to agree with Emm about the spaghetti factor.

If you live with witchy sleeves like that, you have an oiled beefcake trained at spaghetti-twirling who feeds you forkful by forkful.

"No more for now, Igor, I'll take a sip of Rosé."

I'm kind of amazed they don't get them caught in the lute strings.

I love witchy sleeves!! In fact, I totally dig that whole "goth" look complete with corsets and long gowns (not that they were wearing goth type stuff...it just made me think of it). I'd wear it too, if I could get away with it ;) And if you do wear them, you just have to remember to only eat finger foods.

As for the band, it was okay, but I agree with emm about the John Tesh factor. It got old after about minute 3 or so.

You should have come to the hallowe'en fest that I was at at the weekend. The gowns, my dear - to die for! You could just plotz!
One of the best sights, though was my friend Fairyhare, who is Goth to the bone, wearing a pink "Animal" (from the Muppets) backpack! She hates pink! She insisted that it was "animal coloured". Absolutely, Fairyhare. Animal coloured. Right.

Whatever it means to plotz, I probably could  I Googled to find a cool one as an example, but of course my Googling skills are sorely lacking, so I had a hard time. But I did find this one...I can't post the pictures because they're copyrighted, but you can see it at this link:

Yes, that would be a sombre and muted effort along the same lines.
Plotz is Yiddish for going pop! A sort of limited emotional explosion.
And some lovely fillets, just the sort of thing Galadriel would wear.
(Like Tiaras, dear, but more a sort of decorated band.)

Thank you. That makes more sense. I've only heard ''plotz'' used in dog training, as a command that means ''lie down.'' All the German Shepherd handlers seem to use it. I just figured that GSDs only speak German, for the same reason that English Springer Spaniels speak English. I wonder if Norwegian Elkhounds speak Norwegian? :D

Oh yeah: I think Twelve-Girl Band is cool simply because they have yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer). Yes, I admit I'm biased.
ICE JAM: "dam" good music that won't leave you cold. Check out our CD at http://cdbaby.com/cd/icejam
